The take-up of quintuple play services, including pay-TV, is growing rapidly in Spain.
Data published by the regulator CNMC shows that nearly one in five (19.5%) homes with landline telecom packages already opted for such services in the second quarter of 2014, or just over a year ago.
This compared to only 5.9% in Q2 2013 and it is probably safe to assume that last year’s figure is today much higher.
The data also showed that ARPU for quintuple services was €51.6 a year ago, which in turn was over six times the ARPU for triple play services as of the end of 2013.
