SRG secures Formula 1 rights

Switzerland's public broadcaster SRG will continue to show the Formula 1 races live for the next three years following the renewal of its contract with Formula One World Championship until 2016.
The agreement, the financial details of which have not been disclosed, contains all rights for live coverage and news reports as well as the production of original broadcast material from the locations with SRG's own cameras. The contract covers all TV and radio stations from SRG as well as its multimedia and online platforms.
The current Formula 1 season will end this weekend with the Brazilian Grand Prix in São Paulo. The SRG channels SRF, RTS and RSI will transmit the qualifying rounds on Saturday and the race on Sunday live.
