CBeebies Live! makes its inaugural Asian stop in Singapore

BBC Worldwide has signed a partnership with Plaza Singapura and Millennium Entertainment International (MEI) to bring CBeebies Live! You’re A Star This Christmas to Asia.
CBeebies Live! will mark its first appearance in Asia with a two-week long music-themed show in Singapore – with the CBeebies characters, Zingzillas and Teletubbies performing at family-friendly mall, Plaza Singapura.
The show, which runs until 15 December, will be free for all visitors to the mall, with performances every day bar Tuesday.
“Presenting CBeebies Live! in Singapore is part of our continuing efforts to bring the channel to life,” said Mark Whitehead, SVP & GM South East Asia and Channels Lead, BBC Worldwide, Asia. “Learning through play is a major pillar of CBeebies and CBeebies Live! allows us to extend the brand beyond the television screen. We are extremely proud to work with our valued partners, MEI and Plaza Singapura, to present this show format, and are confident that the show, like the programmes on the channel, will spark imaginative play and social interaction.”
“We are very happy to once again be working with BBC Worldwide,” said Melissa Ang, General Manager of Plaza Singapura and The Atrium@Orchard. “Last year we worked with BBC Worldwide to present the Mister Maker Make it Live Show. The show was extremely successful with more than 3500 preschoolers and their carers attending the performances over a weekend. We are confident that CBeebies Live! at Plaza Singapura will be as or more enthusiastically received and will get the young and young at heart dancing and singing on the ‘dance floor’.”

CBeebies Live! You’re A Star This Christmas is at Plaza Singapura from 29 November to 15 December, with two shows per day on weekdays (there will be no shows on Tuesdays) and three shows per day on weekends. The event will be free to the public and includes a “Meet and Greet” session which the public will need to win passes for.
