InstaDIGITAL, the video on demand (VOD) and over-the-top (OTT) hosted solution specialist, has confirmed its expansion plans with the appointment of Saffron Digital alumnus Craig Chuter to the position of sales director.
Chuter is tasked with driving the company's international growth and profile. He has more than 20 years of experience in digital media technology, including stints with Carrefour, ITV, BT, Deutsche Telekom, BBC and Channel 4. He joins InstaDIGITAL from Saffron Digital where, as sales director EMEA, he was instrumental in the launches of new OTT services for Carrefour, ITV and BT.
"When we created a shortlist of the people that we wanted for this role, Craig's name was at the top, so it is fantastic that he has decided to join our team,” said Ed Pippin, CEO at instaDIGITAL. “Up until now we have very much been working in the background, building and running bespoke global VOD and OTT services for our clients, from DRM solutions to full content management systems and content players. At a time where consumer appetite for on demand video is snowballing, Craig will help us to expand our reach, to take our products to new clients and help them take advantage of the services that we offer."
Chuter will be based at instaDIGITAL's UK office and will work closely with the senior management team to develop a commercial strategy to deliver new partnerships, new opportunities and new business at a global level.
"InstaDIGITAL is fast becoming a company to watch in the OTT space and I'm looking forward to being a part of that,” Chuter said. “Not only does instaDIGITAL have big aspirations to become a leader in the market, but it has the technology and in-house talent to back it up. My plan is to strengthen the brand and help create a business that can truly meet the growing needs of broadcasters and operators across the globe."
