New OTT platform planned for Uruguay

The service, which will include both video and audio streams for computers and connected mobile devices (Android and iOS), has the support of the country's Ministry for Education and Culture.
In addition to hosting content produced and filmed in Uruguay, ClickVeo! intends to create its own series. Indeed, the company has announced that a stand-up comedy show has already been produced.
“It is a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service, but we intend to provide free access to some population groups as a way to democratise access to the Uruguayan audiovisual culture,” says the platform's website.
The OTT platform will have several content sections: Películas will offer national commercial movies; Clásicos will include both local and international classic movies; Archivo will show audiovisual pieces about the country's history; and Comunidad Audiovisual will show work from new creators who haven’t commercially distributed their pieces. Besides series, in-house content, music and e-books will also have their own sections.
