Dance Singapore Dance returns on Zee TV

Zee TV has announced the return of talent show Dance Singapore Dance, with auditions set for 28 May and prize money of S$15,000.
Dance Singapore Dance 2 logo 1Dance Singapore Dance, the localised version of the popular Dance India Dance series, is returning for its second season on pay-TV platform StarHub TV, bringing together ambitious dancers from across Singapore.
“After the finale of season one, we continued to groom the dancers and provided them with on-ground opportunities in the Asia Pacific region to perform and showcase their talents. Dance Singapore Dance is not just a TV show but a platform for aspiring dancers to take their talent to the next level,” said Tripta Singh, senior vice president – International Business, Zee TV.
Following the audition at Singapore’s La Salle College of the Arts, the top 12 dancers will be shortlisted by a panel of judges. The finalists will then train with some of the industry’s best choreographers and their performances will be featured on the Dance Singapore Dance.
Dance Singapore Dance will premiere on Zee TV and Zee Tamizh on StarHub TV in the last quarter of 2016.
The Singapore version is a spin-off of Dance India Dance, which premiered in 2009. Since then, the show has seen about 90,000 participants in four seasons.
