STARZ to shine on Roku

Continuing the expansion of its streaming app, content company STARZ has added the Roku online video box to its list of supported platforms.
Roku TV Starz image 14 JUlyThe STARZ App is now available in the Roku Channel store, allowing subscribers to watch exclusive STARZ Original series including the upcoming season three premiere of Power, Outlander and The Girlfriend Experience. The deal also means that films, including first-runs, will be available on Roku players and Roku TV models.
Exclusive films on STARZ in 2016 include: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Inside Out, Pixels, Concussion, The Good Dinosaur, Ricki and the Flash, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Cinderella, Tomorrowland, The Wedding Ringer and Ant-Man. Popular movie and television programming on the new STARZ ENCORE includes: The Equalizer, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Signs, Never Been Kissed, Dances With Wolves, Gone Baby Gone, There’s Something About Mary, Spider-Man 3, Out of Sight, Total Recall, Steel Magnolias, Magnum, P.I., Diff’rent Strokes, The Jeffersons and Gunsmoke.
The Roku platform app boasts an ‘intuitive’ content discovery design and navigation offers ease of use and a ‘compelling’ user experience, regardless of how the consumer purchased a subscription to STARZ.
Subscribers from participating cable, satellite and telco partners can also authenticate and view STARZ content in the new app. Those using the STARZ sister networks, STARZ ENCORE and MOVIEPLEX, will also use this single destination app for access to stream.
