New head of business for Star Utsav

Pratik Seal has been promoted to business head of Star Utsav, part of the Star India broadcasting group. Seal, who was previously head of marketing at Life OK, will report to Gaurav Banerjee, general manager, Star Plus.
The free-to-air channel Star Utsav launched in 2004, and provides viewers with a selection of Star's most popular Hindi entertainment. It now faces competition from Zee Anmol, which draws on Zee TV's programming library for its content.
Prior to Life OK, Seal worked as head of marketing at Micromax, and also held positions with Samsung, Vodafone, Lowe, FCB Ulka, Ties2family.com and Basic 4 Advertising.
