Fastway hooks up with Conax for digital TV platform

Punjab-based multi-system operator (MSO) Fastway Transmissions is upgrading to a Conax Contago broadcast platform to help smooth the transition to cable digitisation in Northern India.
The digital platform, combined with new set-top boxes from Digital Telemedia, will enable Fastway Digital TV to provide customers in Punjab, Himachal, Pradesh, Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh with new pay-TV content packages. It will also provide an easy upgrade to multiscreen and over-the-top business models in the future, according to the three companies.
"Through our partnership with Conax we aim to provide enhanced, flexible services to our customers and secure another one million subscribers in the next phase of Punjab digitalisation," said Gurdeep Singh, managing director, Fastway Transmissions.
